Creamy Tomatoes Soup using our Dzolof blend
Creamy Tomatoes soup is a British classic dish that can be enjoyed any season. Make this homemade Creamy Tomato Soup with our Dzolof blend for that West African flavour.
INGREDIENTS
350g of baby Plum Tomatoes
2 large Banana Shallots
4 tablespoonful of Olive oil
50ml of double cream
30g of Sun dried Tomatoes to serve
1 tablespoonful of our Raw Honey
2 levelled tablespoons of our Dzolof blend
Salt and Pepper to taste
METHOD
Preheat your oven to 160*c
Place the baby Plum tomatoes, Shallots, Olive oil, 1 tablespoon of our Dzolof blend and Salt to taste into a baking pan/tray
Slow roast for 20 minutes at 160*c
Remove the baby Plum Tomatoes from the oven and add the honey.
Transfer the slow roasted Tomatoes into your blender
Add 250ml of water to your baking pan and scrape the flavours left in the pan and add the remaining 1 tablespoon of Dzolof blend.
Add the above stock to your blender
Blend till smooth and transfer it into a saucepan to simmer on a low heat for 10 minutes
Add your double cream, season with Salt & Pepper and cook for another 4 minutes.
Serve with sun dried Tomatoes in Olive oil and your preferred crusty bread.
