Masala & Onion Corned Beef Rice recipe
300g of Hom Mali Rice or Jasmine Rice
180ml of Water or your preferred stock
3 large blended Onions
2 tablespoonful of Coconut oil
1 heaped teaspoonful of Masala blend
Half a teaspoon of Piri Piri blend
1 tin of Corned Beef
2 Bay leaves or half a teaspoon of our Herby Blend
Salt to taste
In a saucepan melt your Coconut oil and add the Piri Piri blend
Fry on a medium heat for 2 minutes and add the blended Onions
Cook gently for about 10 minutes or until the Onion blend has taken a caramel colour
Add the Masala blend and Corned Beef and mix well.
Add the washed Hom Mali Rice or Jasmine Rice and Bay leaves
Stir and fry for 5 minutes still on the medium heat
Add the water or your preferred stock and cook for 8 minutes .
Turn the heat to its lowest setting, cover the Rice with a parchment or greaseproof paper and the lid.
Cook on the lowest setting for 25 minutes.
Enjoy and serve with your favourite Salad.
